Postnatal Services – Adelaide

I am pleased to offer postnatal home visits to clients (referred from any obstetrician or paediatrician) within the metropolitan areas for up to 6 weeks in the home or in rooms at St Josephs Cottage,89 Strangways Terrace, North Adelaide.

 I have a particular interest in:

• supporting parents with their choice of feeding method;
• managing infant settling;
• and providing  parents the opportunity to discuss their birth experiences.

I understand the problems that many parents experience with breastfeeding when they are discharged from hospital after the birth of their baby.

I am able to weigh your baby at home and  provide reassurance and support where there are concerns about weight loss.

I pride myself on empathic support for women and their partners who may be experiencing emotional difficulties with adapting to their role of parents.

Early discharge visits may be negotiated with approval from your obstetrician.

This service can be in conjunction with the service provided by Child, and Youth Health.
